Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips takes to the sea of people at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Michigan March 14.

The joint tour kicks off in Saint Paul, Minn., Sept. 17 and consists of three shows in the Midwest, one in New York, three in Texas and a closer Oct. 5 in Phoenix.
The shows are mostly clubs and theaters so fans should be able to get nice and close to the action.
Mac DeMarco is hyping his forthcoming album, This Old Dog. That project comes out May 5, and two songs are already available for listening.

Here’s the joint tour plan:
Sep. 17 – Saint Paul, Minn., Myth
Sep. 18 – Milwaukee, Wisc., Eagles Ballroom
Sep. 19 – Indianapolis, INFarm Bureau Insurance Lawn At White River State Park
Sep. 20 – Niagara Falls, N.Y., Rapids Theatre
Sep. 29 – Houston, Texas, Revention Music Center
Sep. 30 – Irving, Texas, Pavilion At The Irving Music Factory
Oct. 1 – Austin, Texas, Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater
Oct. 5 – Phoenix, Ariz., Comerica Theatre
Tickets to that run go on sale April 21.
The Flaming Lips are promoting the recent release, Oczy Mlody. The band has its own headline dates and festival appearances planned in Europe and North America before the run with Mac.
Mac is playing Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this weekend and also has headline dates and festival appearances booked in the North America and Europe through the rest of the year.
